Expensive snow: renting in winter holidays in Patagonia costs up to 50% more than last year

Winter holidays 2022 are coming (in Buenos Aires and province of Buenos Aires will be between July 18 and 29) and after three years the nearby cities with the ski centers of our Patagonia show high demand and dozens of rental operations.

Dolores Ojedaof DO Real Estate Businesses, highlighted Infobae that “many agreements were closed in May. But Bariloche is not just the ski slope, it is a complete destination that tourists prefer for its gastronomy, the nature of the place and it is highly chosen by young people, couples and families who spend one or two weeks to enjoy it in the winter”.

Demand profile and prices

Both in Bariloche and San Martín de los Andes, it is noted that they choose comfortable homes of more than 100 square meters, especially if they share the days with friends, and if they are couples, they choose smaller properties but that have all the services and connectivity.

The cabins start from the $300 per daywhile in private neighborhoods such as Dos Lagos or Cumelén, a house is around the $600 to $1,100 per day.

Fernández said that in addition to the public from Buenos Aires and other cities “from our country, whoever comes to La Angostura in winter is a fan of skiing.
